This SATA III data cable connects an HDD, SSD or optical drive to a SATA-enabled PC, laptop or server at up to 6Gbps, with backward compatibility for SATA I and SATA II devices. Locking latches on both ends hold the connection in place to prevent accidental disconnects, and a 26AWG tinned copper core keeps resistance and signal loss low. Note this is a data-only cable — your drive still needs a separate SATA power connection.
